Dating on your terms · adults 18+

Date as a whole person.

HerpDate is dating for adults who want to decide when, how, and whether to disclose. Status is optional. There is no diagnosis box on your profile. We don't give medical advice.

Free to join. Delete your account whenever you like, and everything on it goes with it.

Two ways to tell someone, and both of them run on someone else's timing.

Mainstream apps make telling someone a cliff you fall off after the match. Condition-first sites make it a badge you wear before anyone says hello. One punishes honesty, the other makes it your whole name.

HerpDate is built for the third path. You get to know someone the ordinary way, and you decide what to tell them, how, and when. The product's job is to make that decision yours and keep it that way.

Our one rule

Status is optional. So is telling us why you're here.

Nothing about your health is required, stored as a field on your profile, or shown as a badge. When you want someone to know something, you tell them in your own words, at the moment you choose.

How it works

Ordinary dating, with the timing back in your hands.

  1. 1

Make a profile in a few minutes

Name, age, a couple of prompts. No health questions, because there are none to answer.

  2. 2

Meet people near you when your city opens

We open one city at a time so nobody swipes into an empty room. Until then you're on the waitlist, and we'll email you once.

  3. 3

Talk first. Share what you choose, when you choose

Telling someone is a conversation you start, in your words, at the moment that feels right to you.

Built for discretion

Three things the product does so you don't have to think about them.

  • 01
Members only, never search engines.Your profile is shown to signed-in members and kept out of search results.
  • 02
Share in your own words. No dropdown, no icon, no label that says it for you.
  • 03
Leave quietly.Block and report are one tap. Export or delete your account from settings, and the profile goes with it.

In writing

Three things we won't do.

  • 01
We won't give medical advice. We're a dating service. For health questions, talk to a clinician you trust.
  • 02
We won't put health details in an email subject or a notification.Anything we send reads like any other message on your screen.
  • 03
We won't use your status, or anyone's, in our marketing. No prevalence statistics, no fear, no testimonials we can't stand behind.
